HOW TO REPLACE THE BURNER COVERS

In most ‘gas-on-glass’ hobs, the burner covers are fixed to the hob glass with silicone. To fit new ones, you need to order additional gaskets according to the spare parts list to replace the silicone. As some models don’t use gaskets, you’ll need to order a tube of silicone with spare part number 4071354783 to replace the burner cover.

Replacing the burner cover with a silicone spare part

From step 5 onwards, since all the previous steps are the same:

5. Apply just one silicone ring to the edge of the glass.

6. Fit the new cover, aligning it with the screw holes on the gas burner so it can be secured in the correct position.

7. If necessary, use a cloth dampened with acetone to remove any excess silicone.

8. Don’t use the hob for about a day to allow the silicone to dry.
