Washing machine displays padlock - Zanussi

Resolution

When the child lock is engaged it will stop you from performing any action.

Freestanding Washing Machines
Control panel No.1


To deactivate press and hold the Easy Iron (6) button until the padlock no longer displays on the LED display.
To activate press and hold the Easy Iron (6) button until the padlock appears on the LED display.

Control Panel No.3 (older style)


The Child Lock function remains enabled also when the appliance is not working.
There are two different ways to set this option:
1. Before pressing button 9 (START/PAUSE): it will be impossible to start the appliance.
2. After pressing button 9: it will be impossible to change any other programme or option.
To enable or disable this option press simultaneously for about 6 seconds buttons 2 and 3 until on the display, the PADLOCK icon appears or disappears.

The description of the buttons may vary depending on the model of the appliance, but they will always be indicated on the control panel by the padlock symbol

This option stays active even when you switch off the appliance.

To deactivate press and hold Spin (7) for 3 seconds until the padlock no longer displays on the LED display
To activate press and hold Spin (7) for 3 seconds until the padlock appears on the LED display

To deactivate press and hold Stains (6) for 3 seconds until the padlock no longer displays on the LED display
To activate press and hold Stains (6) for 3 seconds until the padlock appears on the LED display
HINTS/TIPS
If you have trouble removing the child lock, disconnect the appliance from the power supply for about 5-10 mins before trying again.
For appliances with a programme button, you can usually remove the child lock as soon as the appliance has been powered on.
A service visit would be recommended if you are still experiencing issues.
