The inlet hose on my washing machine is leaking
Issue
- The water hose on my washing machine is leaking
- the hose for the water supply is dripping water onto my washing machine
Applies to:
- Front-loading washing machine
- Top-loading washing machine
- Washer-dryer
Resolution
- Check that the pipe connection on the tap is properly screwed on and tightened. Do not use pliers or similar tools to tighten the pipe connection. It should only be tightened by hand! If you use tools, you risk damaging the hose fittings.
- Check that there isn’t a leak from the tap itself. If you discover that the tap is leaking, you can contact your local plumber to have the problem sorted.
If the above didn’t solve the problem, we recommend that you book a visit from one of our specially trained service technicians.
You can easily book a service visit online at any time of the day or night, and choose the date for the visit that suits you best yourself.
Cause:
- IMPORTANT! If you notice that the hose is damaged (kinked or cracked), you must turn off the water supply to the machine. A faulty inlet hose must be replaced.
